Yes. Here is why this happens.
Vanish's installer is code-signed, but Windows SmartScreen flags all new publishers until they accumulate enough verified installs. You will see a "Windows protected your PC" dialog the first time you run the MSI. This is expected and will appear less frequently as more people install Vanish.
To proceed:
- In the SmartScreen dialog, click "More info"
- Click "Run anyway"
