By downloading, installing, or using Vanish, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Vanish.
What is Vanish?
Vanish is a proprietary Windows desktop utility application that hides selected application windows from the taskbar and Alt+Tab, and restores them on demand. It is developed and sold by an independent developer. Vanish is distributed as a Windows MSI installer and is available for Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). It is sold as a perpetual single-user personal license — a one-time purchase with no recurring subscription fees. Each purchase grants one license key that activates on one computer. Payment and license key delivery are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record.
License Grant
Subject to these terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use Vanish on one (1) computer for personal use. This license does not include the right to distribute, sublicense, or share access to Vanish with others.
Trial Terms
Every installation of Vanish includes a 7-day free trial. The trial provides full access to all features. The trial period begins on the date of first launch and ends 7 calendar days later. After the trial period, a valid license is required to continue using Vanish.
The trial start date cannot be reset by reinstalling the application, rolling back the system clock, or deleting application data.
License Activation
A license is activated by entering a valid license key in the Vanish application. License keys are delivered by Lemon Squeezy after purchase. One license activates on one computer. If you need to transfer your license to a new computer, contact support.
License keys may not be shared, resold, or redistributed.
Restrictions
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Vanish.
- You may not modify, adapt, or create derivative works from Vanish.
- You may not distribute, rent, lease, or sublicense Vanish.
- You may not use Vanish to violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- You may not use Vanish to harm, deceive, or surveil other people without their knowledge and consent.
Updates
Vanish updates automatically via Velopack. Your license includes all updates within the current major version. Future major version upgrades may require a new license purchase.
Refund Policy
You may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase if Vanish does not work as described on this website and the issue cannot be resolved through support. To request a refund, contact support via GitHub Issues with a description of the problem and the email address used at checkout. Refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy.
Refunds are not granted for change-of-mind purchases after the 7-day free trial has been used. The trial is provided specifically so you can evaluate Vanish before purchasing.
No Warranty
Vanish is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that Vanish will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use Vanish, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall the developer's total liability exceed the amount paid for the license.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the terms were last modified. Continued use of Vanish after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
